Provision of kitchen gardening seeds and training in the targeted villages of district Rajanpur.

Our Rajanpur team is organizing a series of kitchen gardening trainings in 10 targeted villages of UC Noorpur Manjula in Rajanpur district. During these trainings, a total of 600 beneficiaries will get training on kitchen gardening techniques along with the provision of two packs of seeds recommended by the Government. To date, we have provided seeds to 225 beneficiaries aiming to empower these communities through kitchen gardening.

Provision of dignity kits in district Lasbela.

Our Lasbela project team provided 278 dignity kits to female beneficiaries affected by the devastating floods in 2022 under the DEC Phase II Rehabilitation Project in Union Council Kanar and Sukan. Each kit contains not only essential items but also a message of hope and compassion. The target is to provide 400 dignity kits to maintain and restore the dignity, well-being and safety of beneficiaries.

MOU with SDGs Academy, a collaborative commitment to combat climate change!

The SDGs academy organized the “National Youth Policy Dialogue on Climate Change” serving as an influential platform for young individuals to amplify their voices and innovative ideas in the battle against climate change. PMS supported the event as one of the sponsors. Mr. Khalil George, Ferderad Minister for Human Rights graced the occasion as the chief guest, while His Excellency, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, UAE Ambassador joined as guest speaker, addressing the critical climate change issues.

The occasion also marked a significant milestone for the SDGs Academy and Pak Mission Society, where the CEOs of both organizations Mr. Ammar Jaffri and Mr. Adeel Rehmat signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), formalizing their collaborative commitment to combat climate change.

Pak Mission Society, Tearfund, and PDMA Balochistan join hands to promote resilience against disasters in Balochistan.

Quetta, [Oct 16, 2023] – In a landmark collaboration, Pak Mission Society (PMS) partnered with Tearfund and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan, to commemorate the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed between PMS and PDMA Balochistan with the primary aim of spearheading disaster risk reduction initiatives in the region’s vulnerable areas and empowering local communities to build resilience against disasters. The ceremony was graced by the caretaker minister of Interior and Tribal Affairs of Balochistan, Mir Muhammad Zubair Jamali.

Participation in COP28 Climate Change Conference Dubai as a Faith-based actor.

Day 1 of COP28 in Dubai – A dynamic start as our strategic team participated in different sessions in Pakistan and Faith Pavilion. The event was further graced by the presence of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Anwarul Haq Kakar, who joined the delegation at the country pavilion. Prof. Dr. Sara Safdar (Strategic Advisor Policy, Advocacy & Research) shared PMS’s vision and commitment to work on climate change. The delegation took advantage of the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, promoting joint efforts to address climate challenges.

Empowering SYDIP Cohort 12

An exposure visit was organized for our Cohort 12 interns to enhance their professional, personal, and spiritual growth while developing their leadership skills. 🚀

During this transformative experience, they had the opportunity to visit Forman Christian College University and Akhuwat Foundation. They also explored the walled city of Lahore such as the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Masjid deepening their understanding of culture and heritage. Additionally, the trip included visits to the Christian Ishaat Khana and Pakistan Bible Society, Lahore, allowing our interns to expand their spiritual knowledge. 🙏📖
