Women constitute more than half of Pakistan’s population but are often underrepresented and deprived. A nation can only thrive when we empower our women with better education, sensitizing them about health problems and ensuring equal opportunities.
To achieve a stronger economy and improving the quality of life, Pak Mission Society is executing a project entitled “ Khipro Integrated Women Empowerment Project (KIWEP)” to empower women to fight against poverty and water borne diseases and enable them involve fully in development activities to meet the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The project is contributing towards the achievement of sustainable development goals by breaking the vicious and intergenerational cycle of poverty. The socio economic status of women is being uplifted through adult literacy, awareness on health and hygiene and better use of local resources. The project aims to empower 1200 women from 40 villages to fight disease and poverty by self-help groups approach(SHGs).
