Food Security and Livelihood

Empowering communities through elimination of poverty, we ensure sustainable livelihoods and focus on capacity building and skill development.

Approximately 60 percent of Pakistan’s population is facing food insecurity, and the malnutrition rate is alarming in children.  Food Security and Livelihood Program of PMS works on food security, diversifying income source, build indigenous farming capacities and ensures that the rural communities are well-nourished.  These interventions are directly contributing towards sustainable development goals indicators; SDG1, SDG2 and Pillar IV of the Pakistan National Strategy 2025 through the following projects.

  • Nutrition and Food Security
  • Kitchen Gardening/Food Processing
  • Capacity Building on Advanced Agricultural Techniques
  • Water Channels and Storage ponds
