Food Security and Livelihood

About 60% of the total population in Pakistan faces food insecurity whereas about 38% of children under the age of 5 years are stunted.

About 60% of the total population in Pakistan faces food insecurity whereas about 38% of children under the age of 5 years are stunted. At Pak Mission Society, we are working through different projects to overcome the challenge of food insecurity by diversifying income sources, building homegrown farming capacities, and ensuring that rural communities are aware of nutrition as well have an access to nutritional meals. These interventions are contributing directly towards SDG1, SDG2 and Pillar IV of the Pakistan National Strategy 2025 through:

  • Nutrition and Food Security
  • Kitchen Gardening/Food Processing
  • Capacity building on advanced agricultural techniques
  • Water Channels and Storage ponds.
