Pak Mission Society in coordination with the Lahore Waste Management Company celebrated Climate Action Day 2023, held on the 31st of October at the Nine Tree Hotel Gulberg, Lahore. The event aimed to foster awareness about environmental protection, address critical environmental issues, and inspire individuals, especially youth to take meaningful actions to combat climate change. Students and teachers from our 10 partner schools across Lahore actively participated in the event who are also members of our green clubs and raised their concerns to fight against climate change through their actions. On this event, an MOU was also signed between PMS & LWMC to participate in consultation meetings, provincial and national conferences, engage with climate action networks, and sensitize & mobilize school students/youth, organizing climate walks & caravans, cycling tours, tree plantations, and clean-up drives under the Child Driven Climate Action project.
