To support long-term development initiatives for hunger and poverty reduction through household-level food security and improved livelihood strategies.
Food Security and Livelihood are essential for the well-being of communities in urban and rural settlements struggling to climb the poverty line. This refers to the fact that people have physical and economic access to adequate, safe, and nutritious food to meet their daily dietary requirements. Pakistan, being a lower middle-income country and the fifth most populous in the world, has almost 29% of the population facing food insecurity whereas approximately 40% of children under the age of 5 are stunted and suffer from acute malnutrition. Pak Mission Society is working in many communities of the North and South of Pakistan carrying out livelihood interventions by providing cash grants to young entrepreneurs, organizing training, providing tools and equipment, and building farming capacities of individuals to get access to more nutritious food. Our focus is to carry out climate-friendly and cost-effective options for farming.
