Wash
Clean water and sanitation infrastructure for vulnerable communities, ensuring access to essential resources and improved living conditions.
Thematic Introduction
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) has been a core thematic area of Pak Mission Society (PMS) since 2010. The organisation has implemented a wide range of humanitarian and development interventions across underserved regions of Pakistan, including Rajanpur, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Umerkot, Tando Allahyar, Charsadda, Kohistan, Lasbela, and Shangla.
Through these initiatives, PMS facilitates access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation, and hygiene practices essential not only for physical well-being but also for dignity, health, and overall quality of life. The organization installs sustainable water supply systems within communities to reduce distance and effort in accessing clean water, particularly for women and children.
In parallel, PMS conducts community-based awareness sessions and technical trainings to promote safe hygiene behaviors and sanitation practices at household and community levels. All WASH interventions are designed in alignment with national priorities and international standards, while integrating Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), climate resilience, and localization principles.
PMS works in close collaboration with local communities, Government departments, UN agencies, and civil society partners to ensure coordinated, inclusive, and sustainable impact.
Objective:
To transform education for Pakistan’s most vulnerable children ensuring access, learning, protection, and opportunity for every child, everywhere.

We Envision
The accessibility of hand pumps has worked for ourwell-being and financial situations. Before that, we hadto travel for 3 to 4 km to fetch water for domestic needs. This tiring task not only consumed a significantamount of time but also affected my health. However, with the installation of the hand pumps, everythingchanged for the better. Our community now has easyaccess to clean and safe water right at our doorstep. Not only it has alleviated the physical burden of watercollection but also has a profound impact on theoverall quality of life in the community. With reliableaccess to water, we have been able to devote ourenergy to other productive activities.
