Our Community Transformation team conducted Education Field Surveys (Phases 1 & 2) across urban slums, including Shakariyal, Iqbal Town, and Rimsha Colony H-9, Islamabad. The surveys assessed schools, student enrollment, and learning conditions, highlighting challenges such as poor WASH facilities, lack of clean water, schools near open drains, limited resources, low teacher salaries, early marriages, and restricted opportunities for adolescent girls. These findings will guide PMS in designing long-term interventions to improve education quality and create safer, healthier learning environments.
