Muhammad Sharif is a dedicated government primary school teacher residing in Talpur Wada, District Khairpur. Despite facing the challenges of a disability, he perseveres and works tirelessly to deliver for his family, and shoulder the responsibility of being their sole provider. Life is challenging, but he managed to find joy and contentment in his close-knit bond.

In 2022, a devastating flood struck their region, wreaking destruction on their lives. The floodwaters swept away their necessities and damaged their house also, leaving them vulnerable without proper healthcare or protection. The situation was made worse by the fact that many roads were destroyed and washed away, making access to nearby markets, areas, and people impossible, leaving them stranded with no means of transportation.

During this dire time, assistance arrived in the form of the PMS team. With the coordinated and identified field teams, PMS assessed the needs of the affected families. Through PMS efforts, Muhammad Sharif’s family received much-needed Non-Food Items (NFIs) and food supplies, which brought relief and a sense of peace, allowing them to believe that life could return to normal once more.

Despite the challenges, Muhammad Sharif continues to lead a normal life, teaching at the school. While life remains hard, his determination stays strong and he is doing his best to meet his family’s needs. He is grateful for the support provided by PMS, he wants to share a message with everyone that In times of crisis, he emphasizes the importance of remaining composed and facing the situation with resilience. By controlling our nerves and extending help to others, we can make a significant difference and provide strength and hope to those in dire need.
