Mr. Saif Ur Rehman is a resident of Chawa-dara village, district Lower Kohistan, KP. Nine months ago, he visited the MCH Center with deep concern and fear for his brother’s family. His sister-in-law had been married for five years, but sadly, she had lost two newborn babies. Each child passed away just two to three days after birth
When she became pregnant again, the family was extremely worried. They did not understand why the babies had died before, and this uncertainty caused great stress, fear, and emotional pain. They were afraid the same tragedy would happen again.
With hope for a better outcome, Saif Ur Rehman approached the MCH Center run by Pak Mission Society. The medical staff carefully listened to the family and guided them properly.
As part of routine maternal care, the team advised blood group testing for both parents. The results showed that the mother had a negative Rh factor, which can cause serious complications in pregnancy if not managed correctly.
The MCHC team immediately referred her for specialized antenatal care. She received regular checkups, full ANC services, and proper medical guidance throughout her pregnancy. At the time of delivery, the required Anti-D injection was given to prevent complications.
By the grace of God and timely medical care, the mother safely delivered a healthy baby. Both mother and child are now doing well. The fear and uncertainty that once surrounded the family have been replaced with relief, happiness, and hope.
This experience changed Saif Ur Rehman’s perspective completely. He now understands the importance of early antenatal care, medical checkups, and awareness during pregnancy. He actively encourages relatives and community members to visit health center regularly and not ignore maternal health issues.
Saif Ur Rehman and his family are thankful for the care, guidance, and support. This timely guidance not only saved a life but also brought hope and happiness back into their family.
